I needed this track today.

This week was hard. And this track is the perfect medicine.

On Wednesday, I found out one of my favorite cousins died (not sure if covid related or not).

On Thursday, my Mom had a little breakdown and we had a healing heart-to-heart Facetime therapy session.

Today I work up at 4am and couldn’t get back to sleep.

It’s times like these when I feel really grateful that I have the life, home, and career that gives me space to take care of myself.

It’s times like these when I feel grateful for the friends I have and knowing I can count on them to be there for me.

It’s times like these when I feel grateful that musicians create the most incredible medicine that science will never be able to duplicate.

I don’t know when I’ll be able to gather with my family again to mourn and celebrate those we love. And I don’t know when I’ll be able to see my mom. But I do know what I’ll be doing this weekend. I’ll be keeping my head and heart right - dancing to some Crystal Waters.
