Grizzly Bear has a way of making involuntary solitude feel sweet rather than somber. They have this way of making you sit in stillness and comfort rather than judgement. There’s a line in this song that just hits me.

I fucking love it. I fucking love the idea that we can just say how we feel rather than admit it, like we’re guilty of something. 

It reminds me of this time that I was having a drink at Prizefighter with Aaron and I saw two women talking…and one was crying…and i thought it was awesome.

I thought it was awesome that a woman was crying at a bar.

I thought it was awesome that this woman was going through something…and just going through it…and letting herself do what she needed to do to go through it…and didn’t let the fact that she was in public, surrounded by strangers, stop her. 

She was a fearless chick…and incredibly beautiful for it.
