Come Down When You're Ready | TENDER

I finally turned a corner today.

A little bit if the fog lifted. And I was reminded how how often I do this.

How often I make things harder than they need to be. How often I hold things in. Instead of letting go.

Some people have this innate ability to be open. To let things happen. To not make it so complicated.

I can be that way sometimes. Usually with strangers. Especially with strangers actually.

With strangers I can be in the moment. I don’t have the past to dwell on or the future to get lost in. I don’t have to complexity of context to get tangled up in.

But with everyone else, it’s harder. Even with the people I’m close to. Especially when I’m with the person I’ve known longer than anyone - I have so much to get tangled up in. And I can stay there for a while.

But I eventually come down.

When I’m ready.
